Social work students are making their voices heard at the state capitol. About 1,400 gathered in Sacramento for their annual Lobby Day, holding about 800 scheduled visits with state lawmakers on issues ranging from cash bail to harm reduction measures for injection drug users and minimum CalWORKs grants to end childhood deep poverty.
