An Assembly subcommittee has held the first in a series of hearings on sexual harassment and sexual assault at the state capitol. The hearing comes a month after a group of legislative staffers and lobbyists launched a campaign to raise awareness of the problem, and a day after an Assemblymember resigned and state Senator was stripped of his leadership positions because of allegations.
