Immigrant Activists Want Strong SB54 Protections

Hundreds of immigrant rights activists rallied at the state capitol Thursday to urge passage of Senate Bill 54, the “California Values Act”, also sometimes referred to as the sanctuary state bill. They want lawmakers and Governor Jerry Brown to pass what could become the strongest immigrant rights bill in the nation… if it’s not watered down by amendments in the next few days.
