The Trump administration is reviewing coastal marine sanctuaries, under an Executive Order called “America First Offshore Energy Strategy.” Environmental activists say that review could lead to the Trump administration opening up marine sanctuaries off the California coast for oil and gas drilling. They’re urging people to weigh in during a public comment period that has been extended and will now end on August 15th.
