Democratic state senate leader Kevin de Leon took sharp aim at President Donald Trump Thursday, giving a speech that touted California’s leadership, innovation and diversity, as opposed to the policies of the Trump administration. De Leon says the world is looking to California’s leadership on issues like addressing climate change, given federal actions on a range of issues from global warming to immigration.
